One of those reasons is rather personal. Do you know how sometimes in life you’re feeling lost and not sure where to go next? Well, I’ll let you in on a little secret. If you keep your eyes peeled and your awareness in the now, you’ll notice little signs by the road, guiding you along. I found one those signs when I first saw the job listing for Pyramidion. In that moment, my intuition seized full command of my central nervous system, everything else faded to grey, and I just knew that this is where I’m supposed to be.
Two months, ten days, two rounds of interviews, and one life-changing personality assessment by the wonderful Bert @ Chaos2Work later, here I am. Reborn as a wellspring of positivity and energy. Head held high, back straight, ready to take on any and all challenges. And currently, writing the latest blog for our company website. Knowing that tomorrow, just like today, I’ll be happy to come in to work in the morning. But why is that? What makes Pyramidion special? I’ll tell you right now: it’s the culture.
The above photo will give you a first idea of what I mean by that. It contains a list of answers our team members gave when asked: ‘Why are you at Pyramidion?’.
As ‘the message engineers’, we sure love building the perfect message for our business relations. That’s a given. But a company that’s also a family? A warm nest even? For many, that seems like something out of a fairy tale. At Pyramidion however, it’s all we know. Every day, right after doing scrum, we have lunch together in the small meeting room. This is just one of the rooms inside the old herenhuis that the Pyramidion family calls home. Soulless corporate offices? No thank you. We’ll have a garden and a chill out room with a foosball table instead.
Really, you don’t have to be Google Alphabet to understand that a happy, relaxed team member is a productive, creative team member. After all, we’re not ‘just employees’. We’re human beings. The beating heart of any business. An intimate understanding of this concept is yet another thing that sets us apart. Each day we endeavour to set aside egos, differences, and office politics, so that we can cooperate and achieve our common goal: doing what our clients appreciate. Rising above ourselves to meet difficult challenges. Making sure that at the end of the day, our business relations are safe in the knowledge that they can rely on us.
